The morning mist clings to the valley floor,
A silver shroud where light begins to wake.
No sound but breath, no movement but the heart,
In this soft pause, the world begins to take.

The trees stand tall, their branches etched in grey,
Silent witnesses to the coming day.
A single bird calls out from hidden heights,
And in that sound, the shadows melt away.
